Sac K9's Team Up to Nab Suspect
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Two Sacramento police K-9s teamed up to grab a wanted parolee Monday night. Officers contacted Allen Walley, 42, at a residence on the 3700 block of Cypress Street, according to a police report. He then ran out the back door. The first K-9, Rollo, grabbed Walley and struggled with him, police said. Officers sent in the second dog, Bandit, to help. Bandit bit Walley on the arm and leg, and officers arrested him. He was taken to Sutter General Hospital for treatment before going to jail. According to the Sacramento County Main Jail website, Walley has at least 15 known aliases. He's ineligible for bail. Bandit the K-9 was shot by a burglary suspect in March while assisting officers in the 2000 block of O'Neil Way, police said. The suspect, Meng Xiong, was later shot to death by police. Bandit soon recovered and returned to duty.
