Officer Gary Dahl

K9 : Bandit

Officer Dahl began his law enforcement career in 1987. He has had assignments in SWAT, gangs, narcotic’s, and CSI. In 2004 Officer Dahl transferred to the Sacramento Police Department. Officer Dahl worked in patrol division becoming a field training officer and a range master.

In 2006 Officer Dahl transferred to the K-9 Unit. Officer Dahl was partnered with “Bandit” a seventeen month old German Shepherd from Czechoslovakia. Bandit is currently one of three new K-9’s that is trained in patrol, narcotic’s detection, tracking, and article searches. Bandit is also S.W.A.T. certified.
